Yesterday afternoon's activities:
A nice outing to the union square farmer's market.
A homemade truffled sourdough grilled cheese and homemade lemon rosemary green bean pickles for lunch.
Berry canning. (A freak appliance malfunction limited the strawberry yield. It was tragic, really.)
Lovely rainy day.

I walk by this building in Chelsea fairly frequently.
At one point this signage was brand new, and probably very aesthetically on-point for the era. And then time went on and I'm sure it endured some years of being perceived as unattractive and terribly outdated. And now it's beyond all that- it's vintage. And it's beautiful. Even hand-painted in the window.
I love the idea that something can evolve through those stages. And whereas most businesses/people would get tired of something once it's not en vogue any more and update their look to something new and catchy, sometimes these things are overlooked, or not a priority, or maybe they just like it the way it is. And then we get a glance into the past. Preservation.

I like to look at this Argentinian street style blog every once in a while and see what's going on in the fashion world down there. The photographer really captures some great and/or interesting outfits. I don't ever remember seeing people dress like that when I was living there, but then again, I doubt I was paying attention.

Super excited for spring foods.
Purple asparagus, chive blossoms, green garlic...
Pretty lunch. (not cause it was food styled, just cause of the colors. and eating flowers is always pretty)
Made up a green goddess-esq dressing:
apple cider vinegar (2-3 ts?)
olive oil (2 tb?)
sour cream (2 tb?)
salt & pepper
minced white part of green garlic (1-2 tb?)
minced mint & parsley (2/3 to 1/3 mint to parsley)
